RN Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehab
Cullman Regional is looking for a PRN RN to joint our multidisciplinary rehabilitative team providing care to the cardiac and pulmonary patient population. Staff will assess patient’s exercise, educational and behavioral needs. Working as a team member with registered nurses and exercise physiologists to develop rehabilitation goals and implements individualized care plans. Creates educational materials and sessions for patients. Assesses cardiopulmonary, vascular, and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Performs a variety of tasks from reading the telemetry system to working with clients on the gym floor to performing initial intake evaluations. A wide degree of creativity and ability to multi-task is necessary. We are looking for an energetic candidate who is ready for the fast-paced challenge of assisting patients with a variety of Cardiac and Pulmonary related diagnosis to learn to exercise to improve their strength and endurance. Our clinic days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6 AM – 6 PM. This position will be PRN hours covering for staff vacations/leaves and hours for clinic assistance as our caseload grows.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- RN License in this state required
- BLS/ACLS certification is required
EXPERIENCE:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. Must have excellent prioritization skills and be able to multi-task. One to two years’ experience in Critical Care or Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation or related area with knowledgeable application of arrhythmia identification and intervention required. Experience in patient teaching required.
