The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP)
is looking for a Per Diem Histotechnologist to join the team! The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities. Histology Technicians are allied health professionals employed in the clinical laboratory with advanced training that provides them with ability to perform technical procedures to provide results to the pathologists for rendering diagnosis. These procedures are performed according to established and approved policies that are in compliance with CAP standards. Histology Technicians work under the direction and supervision of the medial director.

Education or Equivalent Experience:


Associates degree in biological science plus a minimum of 1 year working as a histology technician or graduation from an accredited Histology program or CAP BOR certification. Knowledge in general biology, anatomy, physiology, chemistry and Medical. Must be able to perform high-complexity testing per the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act.
