Prism Health Lab is looking to employ MAs/EMTs/CNAs for COVID-19 testing mobile clinics.

The role encompasses the intake of patients, overseeing and performing COVID-19 testing procedures, and patient observation at nursing homes throughout Illinois. Clinical staff will cover the South Illinois region (Carbondale).

Prism Health Lab is hiring PRN applicants. All applicants are required to pass an FBI-level background check. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause while developing formative experience in Healthcare.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Help patients by providing information, services, and assistance.
• Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit through the EMR portal.
• Maintain PPE Compliance.
• Test patients: Ability to perform anterior nasal and saliva sampling
• Take blood pressure, oxygen saturation/pulse, and temperature.
• Set up and break down the vaccine/testing site.
• Ability to perform basic IM, sub-Q, and intradermal injections.
• Maintain medical supplies inventory and perform preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating.
• Secure patient information by completing and safeguarding medical records by following and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Serve and protect the practice by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements.
• Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

WORK HOURS & BENEFITS:

• Prism Health Lab has 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts available from Monday to Sunday PRN
• Opportunities for additional hours within various Prism Health Lab Projects and contracts (i.e. community and mobile vaccination sites)

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Clinical degrees accepted: CMAs, EMTs, CNAs
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Adaptable to dynamic environments and skilled in creating a safe and efficient environment
• Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Disease Control
• Patient-focused and compassionate care oriented individuals
• Organized and professional
• Computer Proficient

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:

• Must supply certification or certificate of completion for CMA, CNA, and EMT.
• Fully vaccinated prior to beginning employment
• 1+ years in a medical office preferred
• Vaccination administration experience preferred
• Experience with EMR and medical terminology
• Preferred: Fluent in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin or another second language is highly desired
