Print Specialist I Job at University of Tennessee
: The Print Specialist is responsible for assisting the Graphic Production Department with production of a multitude of graphics request within the Athletics Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for laminating, cutting, and sticking all finished graphics signs including but not limited to sports camps, athletic events, programs, banners, wall coverings, etc.
- Responsible for graphics material inventory including but not limited to vinyl, rolled paper, laminate, phototex, printable wall coverings, corrugated & PVC material cut to stock sizes, ink, cleaning kits, etc.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs to different printing and laminating machines.
- Perform design, layouts and production of graphic projects assigned by Director of Facilities or Graphic Designer.
- Makes budget and purchasing recommendations to the Graphic Designer.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in graphic production and large format printing. Experience working with different Epson, Cannon, & Graph Tech printers and vinyl cutters/plotters.
Skills:
- Knowledge of different print media for different applications.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines required by the Athletics Department.
- Working knowledge of large format printing.
- Basic computer skills needed to operate Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and email.
