Model N is seeking a Principal Systems Administrator II. This role is responsible for the management and development of Model N’s internal salesforce instance, to ensure full utilization and tailoring of the platform to match and support business objectives, using agile techniques and strategies. This role will act as a critical partner to go-to-market teams in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing business function processes and needs with a strong mindset of implementing initiatives through best practices to increase user experience and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Primary owner of Model N’s Salesforce.com system, including but not limited to basic design, advanced design, configuration, QA, release, data management, roles/access controls, and integration to complimentary systems/tools.
  • Understanding of Sales processes in technology industry, mapping them to the Salesforce functionality and filling the gaps with the peripheral marketplace solutions.
  • An understanding of Salesforce marketplace key solutions for Sales functions and ability to drive integrations with those. (e.g., Marketo, DocuSign, Outreach, Chorus, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.)
  • Identify and document gaps between business needs and standard Salesforce CRM application functionality for Sales & Service cloud
  • Develop and maintain functional design documents related to system architecture for Sales & Service
  • Maintain a holistic view of all business system processes and users, to understand functional impacts regarding configuration, process, workflow, and reporting
  • Partner with the go-to-market Operations team to optimize and evolve Model N’s go-to-market tech stack in support of achieving company growth strategies and targets. This includes acting as a thought leader, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, configuration, and documentation.
  • Partner with Sales Enablement team to drive tech stack training and adoption. Develop training plans, communications, materials, and documentation for users; keep materials up-to-date, and coordinate new user and ongoing trainings
  • Partner with cross functional departments to ensure that data flow between salesforce.com and other systems is configured to support vital business processes (e.g., order-to-cash, order-to-delivery, business intelligence solutions, etc.)
  • Review and optimize the integration between Marketo and Salesforce system as needed
  • Project manage all incoming go-to-market requests and projects related to Model N’s internal Salesforce instance and provide end users with visibility to updates.
  • Support, analyze, and resolve critical production issues as required.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Salesforce Sales & Service Business Analyst
  • 2+ years of experience as a functional architect
  • 8 + years of hands-on Salesforce Administrator experience
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator and have experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud & SFDC Lightning framework.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce Opportunity management, CPQ, service contracts, Subscriptions, asset, cases, entitlements, workflow rules, validation rules, process builder, price rules, product rules, approvals, flows, live agent/ web chat and omni channel.
  • Proven track record of experience project managing tasks, tickets, and large projects from various cross-functional stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, hardworking, and a great team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills and can translate business requirements and engage directly with business stakeholders
  • Understanding and experience of partnering with go-to-market teams to select, implement and integrate sales technology solutions to support and scale go-to-market teams (e.g., Salesforce.com, DocuSign, Outreach, Chorus/Gong, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Highspot, Marketo, Business Intelligence solutions, etc.)
  • Extensive experience analyzing, designing, configuring, and supporting Salesforce implementations
  • Experience with SFDC data management tools, SOQL queries, Microsoft Excel, JIRA, Visual Diagrams
  • Should have a Business-first approach to building systems and applications. You care about the business impact of your technical work

Nice to have

  • Certifications - Salesforce (SFDC) Architecture: Certified SFDC Application Architect, System Architect or Technical Architect, as well as Certified Developer or Advanced Developer
  • Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree
