Barrett Paving Materials Inc is currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to operate the productions of hot mix asphalt and other mix designs used in the construction and maintenance of roadways.
Main Responsibilities:
- HMA Plant Operator is responsible for the execution of the maintenance program of the plant equipment and facilities in order to keep the plant functioning efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Directly operates plant controls to properly manufacture hot mix, warm mix and/or cold mix asphalt to specification.
- Work with plant employees in production and distribution of product.
- Leads and assists plant employees in maintenance and repairs of the plant equipment.
- Maintain plant facilities with professionalism and quality in mind to ensure that we delivery quality products to our valued customers.
- Work with Quality Control personnel to continuously monitor the quality of the products we produce.
Requirements:
- Valid NYS driver’s license.
- Mechanical ability preferred
Safety Requirements:
- Compliance with company safety standards and policies.
- Compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and policies.
- Be responsible for the safe execution of tasks being performed by plant employees.
- Work with Plant Superintendent to continuously improve safety at the facility.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
