We are growing! Kohler is constructing a new 1 million-square-foot manufacturing facility on 200 acres in the industrial corridor of Casa Grande, AZ and we are looking for passionate talent to join our leadership team. The Casa Grande facility reflects a $0.5B investment in the Sterling Vikrell product line, a key product line Kohler’s Kitchen & Bath organization. Production is expected to begin in Q4 2023, and this role will be based on site at the facility once it is open. The role will work hybrid or fully remote leading up to the production go-live date.
As a Finance Manager for Kohler’s Casa Grande manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for all financial matters of the plant. In this role, you will function as the financial advisor to the Plant Manager and all key managers of the business. The Finance Manager is expected to execute the role in alignment with Kohler Company policies and procedures in a matrixed organizational structure. The Finance Manager is also expected to maintain the highest level of integrity, ethics, and candor to all key management levels of the business and Kohler Company.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and interpretation of financial reports related to the Casa Grande facility.
- Interpret and communicate insights in a straightforward manner.
- Analyze and quantify business activities and decisions in financial terms using Kohler Company methodologies.
- Coordinate and complete the monthly accounting close process in accordance with Kohler reporting formats and design attributes.
- Provide financial information to Kohler Company management on a timely basis.
- Maintain consistent presentation of financial information and comparative analysis.
- Communicate insights on key financial metrics through daily and weekly reporting to monitor performance against expectations.
- Partner with key stakeholders to facilitate the completion of monthly financial projections, an annual Financial Plan, and a semi-annual Capital Plan process.
- Function as a contributing team member in other strategic planning and business planning processes.
- Oversee the completion of the Casa Grande time and attendance processes.
- Maintain and enhance the system of internal controls for the business.
- Drive action on feedback from internal and external auditors, identifying and introducing mitigating actions for internal controls weaknesses.
- Direct the completion of an annual physical inventory audit.
- Maintain a perpetual inventory process for fixed assets.
- Supervise and lead the development of the Casa Grande Systems Analyst.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP, tax, legal, and Kohler Company requirements.
- Assist in developing the financial acumen of general supervisors at the facility by providing knowledge transfer, coaching, and feedback to build understanding of financial measures and results at the shop floor level.
- Review and revise existing standard costs and establish standard costs for new products, with an emphasis on:
- The review of all material costs, bills of material, and labor routings.
- The coordination of operating budget preparation and all other items impacting standard cost accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes from a quality and productivity perspective, including:
- The use of benchmarking and best practice information to gain perspective.
- The use of disciplined continuous improvement techniques.
- Maintain the highest level of honesty, ethics, and integrity.
Skills/Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5+ years of Accounting or Finance related experience.
- Experience in manufacturing accounting and operational analysis is preferred.
- A strong systems aptitude and knowledge of SAP is preferred.
