Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Burn / Plastics Job at Regional One Health

UT Regional One Physicians is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Burn Center with some floating to Plastic Surgery. This is a great opportunity to work at the only full-service Burn Center of its kind within a 150-mile radius of Memphis. This position involves working various shifts to cover days, nights, weekends and holidays / 14 shifts / month covering a 24/7 operation.


JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide patient care for the Burn Center at Regional One Hospital and any ROH affiliated sites. Care will be provided under direct supervision of physicians, including assessing, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic health problems.

Require knowledge and ability to treat and provide appropriate care for patients in outpatient clinic, emergency room or other locations as needed. (Consists of reconstructive plastic surgery, burns, lumps and bumps and other reconstructive surgical issues)

This will require a flexible working schedule throughout the week that can include clinic, rounding on patients as needed, hospital consultations, and surgical assistance.

Helps to have knowledge of coding and billing parameters that govern provision of patient care by Nurse Practitioner within state of Tennessee and as applicable to individual carriers.

Ensure that regulatory documents and other forms are completed in accordance with FDA, study sponsor and institutional guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Additional training may be required for specialty areas. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, infant, toddler, pre-school, school-age, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient population as specialty assignment dictates.


EXPERIENCE: Experience with Burn Patients highly preferred.


LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Certification as Physician Assistant or APN in the State of TN. Additional certification in specialty areas may be required. Eligible for Prescriptive privileges) in State of Tennessee required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting and moving patients and equipment; prolonged standing and walking; exposure to infectious agents
