Physician Assistant (FT 100%) Adena Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons Job at Adena Health System
The Physician Assistant (PA) provide assistance to physicians by completing an initial examination of patients, recommending a course of action for treatment and briefing the physician on pertinent aspects of the examination performed. This individual works collaboratively with the physicians in examining, treating patients and assisting in surgery. This position has access to confidential patient information and functions under the indirect supervision of the practice manager and as directed by the supervising physician.
Education: Successful completion of Physicians Assistant program that qualifies for certification status in Ohio. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current license, certification or registration in the State of Ohio and plan of supervision agreement and standard physician assistant utilization plan approved by the State Medical Board of Ohio. An approved supplemental physician assistant utilization plan required for any functions beyond those in the standard physician assistant utilization plan. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
Experience: One year of similar experience including experience within the operating room preferred.
