The MTM Pharmacy Technician II supports Pharmacy Government Team including the Medicare medication therapy management (MTM) and Individual programs around HEDIS/utilization management opportunities. Responsible for assigned projects including development and maintenance of programs. Develops detailed work plans, including scope and strategic steps of projects and coordinates execution efforts with the team.
What you will do:
- Establish pharmacy program project goals with program manager or lead, create work plan, outline work plan milestones, strategies, and timeline requirements for completion of assigned projects.
- Communicate project details through written materials such as proposals, reports, policies, procedures, presentations, correspondence and agendas for clear understanding and facilitation.
- Supports basic data analytic activities and tracking of interventions and assists with preparation and documentation of responses to regulatory audits.
- Provides MTM services via triage of inbound calls to the MTM phone line, supports the pharmacist for completion of Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) through pre-work up and case preparation, communicates with network pharmacies, prescribers, and beneficiaries to provide MTM services.
- Engages in quality improvement projects including supporting the execution of pharmacy related quality campaigns.
- Documents and records services/activities in appropriate databases/software to ensure compliance with CMS requirements for clinical service offerings assigned in designated area (i.e. MTM services, Quality Improvement Projects, etc.).
- Work with Pharmacy manager and team members to develop objective monitoring plan, metrics and reporting designed to measure program performance.
- Update and develop procedures and job aids as needed.
- Assist in training staff on new procedures.
- Serve as a resource for other departments for pharmacy program questions.
What you'll bring:
- Current, valid Washington State Pharmacy Technician License (Required)
- 3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician (Required)
- Completion of pharmacy technician training from an accredited Pharmacy Technician program
- 1 year experience with a health plan
- Experience managing projects or complex work within pharmacy operations
- Clinical or MTM experience preferred

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.
National Salary Range:
$44,900.00 - $67,300.00
National Plus Salary Range:
$50,700.00 - $76,100.00
- National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
