Niagara Falls Memorial is in growth mode and currently looking for a Full Time Pharmacist to join our team!

As a pharmacist you will be responsible for preparing and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals for patients to nursing and medical staff. You will achieve this by executing a physician’s order and/or by addressing the patient’s problems and needs directly. The job entails a high level of responsibility and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• Collaborate with prescribers to determine the most optimal treatment regimens
• Provide clinical pharmacy services as part of a decentralized model of care directly on patient care units
• Participate in daily patient care rounds
• Monitor and adjust pharmaceutical regimens regarding antibiotic therapy, anticoagulation, and other miscellaneous medications
• Provide discharge counseling as part of transitions of care programs
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labeling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration; providing direct oversight of technicians
• Compound parenteral products as needed for patients while in compliance with USP 797/800 standards
• Listen carefully to patients to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice
• Provide assistance with other medical services such as injections, vaccination clinics, public health events, etc.
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures

We also offer a comprehensive range of surgical services.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
