The Position: We’re looking for per diem caregivers for all shifts.

Day Shift: 5:45am-2:15pm

Evening Shift: 1:45pm-10:15pm

Night Shift: 10pm-6am

Pay starts at $18.50 per hour, plus opportunities for additional pay differentials.

The Organization: Camphill Ghent, Inc. located in Chatham, NY opened in 2012 and provides independent and assistant living residence to 70 residents in an elder community setting.

Requirements:

• Home Health Aide (HHA) certification is preferred, but we will accept CNA/PCA applicants as well as experienced caregivers without a certification.
• Prior experience working with elders is preferred.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds, and to spend long periods of time walking/standing.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be in compliance with NYS Dept. of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandate for health care workers
• Must be able to work at least 2 shifts per month, with 1 shift being on a weekend.

Responsibilities include assisting with:

• Personal care and administering medications
• Social and recreational activities
• Helping to serve meals, setting dining tables, and cleaning the dining room
• Maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment
