Lubrizol is currently looking for an experienced and accountable
Payroll Manager to join our Shared Services Payroll group. In this role, you would lead the North America (NA) Payroll team to ensure the team delivers service quality, customer orientation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement of processes related to payroll administration within our Leveraged Services (LS) operating mode. You will partner with our outsourced provider, ADP, as well as other functions within Lubrizol. This position would be based out of our Global Headquarters, in Wickliffe, OH, and follow a hybrid working model.
What you will do:
- Lead team of NA Leveraged Services Payroll Specialists, Coordinator, and Time & Attendance function with accountability for NA region-specific Payroll Administration (US & Canada).
- Responsible for service quality, customer orientation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement of processes related to payroll administration and reporting
- Partners with Payroll team to achieve process/procedure service outcome expectations.
- Ensure all HR services provided by the NA Payroll group are delivered in accordance with current internal policies and procedures, local, regional and national laws and regulations.
- Trains and manages team to achieve process/procedure service outcome expectations in alignment with our Leveraged Services operating model.
- Monitor the resolution of all relevant manager/employee payroll related inquiries to ensure they are appropriately addressed and resolved in alignment with established SLA’s. Provide specialized knowledge/support for inquiries and propose exceptions as needed.
- Recommend and execute requirements, plans and solutions for improving NA Payroll processes, governance, programs, overall experience, etc., in partnership with Sr. Manager, NA HR Operations, other Leveraged Services employees, COEs, etc.
- Identify and manage risks; develop mitigation plans to anticipate/minimize impact on HR services provided by the NA Payroll group.
- Support and coach HR Site teams, HRBPs and Managers for applying/communicating NA Payroll programs, policies & processes.
What you need:
- Relevant education degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred; or equivalent professional experience within an international organization
- 6-10 years of professional level Payroll experience, including at least 3 years supervisory experience in a multi-state payroll production environment
- Experience in managing Payroll Administration working with third party provider (ADP preferred)
- Experience improving processes and procedures
- Experience managing processes related to Payroll operations and administration
- Experience with HR and/or other systems (i.e., SAP-HCM, ADP, etc.)
- Experience improving processes and procedures
