As the Payment and Collections Superviso r in the Customer Services Department, you will be leading a team that makes a difference in the lives of our customers each day through work with Project COPE, LEAP, deposits, Manual Field Treatments, Write-offs, Time and Materials, Bankruptcy and other vital programs, helping our customers keep their lights on and water running while collecting revenue for our organization. You will be managing a remote team that is responsible for managing programs that are counted on by our community and cross-functionally within the organization.

Responsibilities include…
Overseeing and evaluating the effectiveness of all payment and collection programs and customer assistance agencies
Responsible for hiring, leading, mentoring, and managing the performance of your team
Overseeing financial and revenue auditing control measures and participating in audits
Overseeing complex bankruptcies to ensure compliance with policy, rules, and regulations
Oversee the analysis and mitigation of consumption inconsistencies and demand information for residential, commercial, and industrial customers
Providing oversight for the deposits on residential and commercial accounts
Formulating strategies, developing, and managing policies and procedures
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement measures for payment and collection programs
Working cross-functionally to resolve complex customer and technology issues
Qualifications…
Highly qualified candidates will offer payment and collections, billing, or service center experience, preferably in utilities. Additionally, you will have demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. Customer service, payment and collections, and other related experience will be considered in lieu of utility billing experience. A bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Finance, or a closely related field is valued. We are also interested in learning about your knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following:
Strong customer service and relationship management skills
Proven leadership with experience in fostering and inspiring team members to achieve results and to implement new ideas and concepts to drive efficiencies and lower costs.
An ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, to all levels in the organization and to customers.
Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make sound decisions
Advanced knowledge of billing functions and controls, rates, metering, rules, and regulations, ideally within the utility industry
Proficiency in the Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) or Customer to Meter (C2M) systems is a plus
