Location: WFH-Flexible*
Compensation: $17.00-$18.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
- Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, or Washington.

The Role:
As a Patient Financial Advocate, you play a key role in assisting in the revenue cycle functions within the billing department. Additional responsibilities include:
- Answers patients’ billing questions.
- Works’ patient accounts to assure accurate balances.
- Collect and post patient payments.
- Assists patients in getting the correct information to order to apply for charity/Medicaid or a payment plan.
- Set up payment plans.
- Works with office staff to assist patients experiencing financial hardship.
- Comply with all elements within HIPAA and the Privacy Act.
- Assists patients in verifying benefit information.
- Ensures weekly, monthly, and quarterly department goals are met.
- eCW and multiple payer portals
- Represents Ideal Option professionally and with a positive attitude.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.

- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to problem solve.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years’ experience with medical billing.
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
- Knowledge of chemical dependency and its’ effects on individuals, families, and communities is required.
- 1 year medical billing/insurance verification or financial counseling
