We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time Patient Care Coordinator capable of succeeding in a fast-paced Physical Therapy practice in one of our clinics in San Diego County. This is a Monday-Friday, 8-5 position. Hourly compensation is based on experience. We are ready to start the right candidate immediately. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF THIS DOES NOT PERTAIN TO YOU. • Experience working in a fast-paced medical office environment: Phone, payment processing, knowledge of insurance benefits claims and authorizations procedures to assist patients/clinicians with billing and claims questions is a plus. • Must be capable of delivering the utmost in customer service; friendly, inviting and positive outlook and demeanor required. • Experience working within the Physical Therapy community a plus. • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, multi-task and stay organized. Must be detail-oriented with high degree of accuracy, despite frequent interruptions. • Able to effectively communicate as part of a team. This position serves as a liaison between clinical director, clinicians, support staff and patients and requires a strong but diplomatic, take-charge personality. • Ability to recognize challenges before they become problems and devise effective solutions while encouraging an atmosphere of teamwork and camaraderie. • Hands-on experience working with Patient Scheduling and Electronic Health Records software is a plus. • Ability to handle heavy scheduling volume and maximize clinician’s productivity by ensuring minimal clinician “downtime” due to patient cancellations/no shows. • Competency using Word, Excel, e-mail is required. • Bilingual (Spanish) always a plus, but not required.
