Job Summary:

Conceptions Reproductive Associates is a thriving, private practice infertility group based out of Littleton, Colorado with four satellite offices in and around the Denver metro area. We currently have a Part Time Medical Assistant position available at our Sky Ridge location. You must have the COVID-19 Vaccine. This Part-time Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting physicians and nurses within the practice by preparing patient rooms, clearing patient rooms, cleaning medical equipment, providing basic patient monitoring, obtaining vitals, conducting blood draws, assisting during medical procedures, performing semen washes, answering phones, scheduling patients, checking in patients, collecting co-pays, checking messages and returning calls to patients. This position will follow established work procedures and will operate within standard guidelines when setting up rooms, clearing and preparing equipment for procedures and running labs. The person who fills this role will be responsible for operating independently when assisting physicians and nurses with medical procedures.

Examples of Work Performed:

• Prepare exam rooms for procedures and exams including setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and setting up the exam tables
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including basic patient monitoring (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, etc.) and handling non-sterile supplies
• Maintain clinic equipment including cleaning the equipment after procedures and preparing instrument trays for sterilization
• Clean exam rooms and ultrasound rooms after exams and procedures, including disposal of non-hazardous materials (patient drapes, etc.)
• Draw blood from patients and prepare for in-house processing and outside lab pick-up
• Obtain vitals on all patients
• Room patients
• Assist with front desk duties when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program is required at the time of application

Must be willing and able to:

• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 lbs
• Work occasional weekends and holidays
• Work in an environment that may expose you to fumes, chemicals, liquid nitrogen, extreme cold, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease
• Sit and stand for long periods of time, frequently walk, and bend/stoop, as well as execute repetitive motions
• Work with complex and sharp laboratory equipment and various chemical and biological solutions
• Wear appropriate safety equipment when handling biological samples and hazardous chemicals

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience providing medical assistance in an OB/GYN and/or Reproductive medical office
• Experience scheduling patients for appointments using electronic software
• Experience taking blood pressure and pulse
• Experience performing blood draws
• Experience setting up sterile and non-sterile procedure trays and medical procedure rooms

• Knowledge and understanding of medical chart preparation and set-up and lab form completion
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• Must have the COVID-19 Vaccine
