    Description: Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Athletics, this person will coordinate and facilitate a Learning Center for athletes which will support them in academic achievement as well as the college recruiting process. The Learning Center Paraprofessional will also assist with “game day” management and perform other duties as assigned in order to support all functions and initiatives of the athletic department.

    Job Summary: 7 hours/day (8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.), 5 days/week, 195 days/year

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 2 years of college coursework
    • OR an Associate's Degree or higher
    • OR high school diploma with passage of the ParaPro Assessment prior to employment
    • One year of related successful work experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
    • Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
    • Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.

    Must have a thorough understanding of the college recruiting process including both NCAA Eligibility Center requirements as well as NAIA Eligibility Center requirements; coordinate and schedule tutors for after-school academic study sessions, assist students in the college application process and FAFSA application process; act as a liaison between college recruiters and students; create and implement an ACT/SAT prep program; monitor student-athlete's academic progress as well as academic schedules to ensure all requirements are being met. Must have working knowledge of all NCAA/NAIA eligibility guidelines.

    Preferred Qualification: Experience in all phases of athletic administration at the high school and college level.

    Salary: $15.75/hour non-degreed; $17.80/hour 2-year degree; $19.38/hour Teaching Certificate
