Position Title: PBX Attendant
Report To: Manager on Duty/ Director of Hotel Operations
Position Description / Summary:
Provide telephone services for incoming and outgoing calls while delivering the highest level of service and courtesy.
Primary responsibilities for PBX Attendant:
SL-1 and hotel experience preferred, pleasant telephone voice, flexible in shift changing, having a clear and articulate voice. Minimum age requirement is 18.

Position Description / Summary:
Provide telephone services for incoming and outgoing calls while delivering the highest level of service and courtesy.
Primary responsibilities for PBX Attendant:
- Handle all incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Provide guests with services such as wake-ups, messages, paging in Casino, long distance assistance and other special services such as screening calls, taking, inputting and giving messages.
- Assist administration in locating other personnel, taking messages, and other miscellaneous requests.
- To operate the ACD console and be familiar with all alarms.
- Be able to operate the TDD machine.
- Inform guests of functions and facilities upon request.
- Responsible for keeping own information on personnel and departments up to date.
- Read all posted yellows and memos.
- Interact closely with fellow employees.
- Be able to follow the PABX policy and procedure manual.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested.
- Data Entry.

- Frequently hearing, listening, seeing, and speaking to communicate with guests and employees.
- Constantly sitting, hearing, speaking, seeing, eye-hand coordination, taking direction.
- Frequently twisting, fingering, manual dexterity, typing, writing, wrist motion, reaching
- Occasionally standing, walking distances of 10 to 20 feet.
- Frequent writing, reading, manual dexterity, use of keyboard.
- Constantly planning, remembering/paying attention to/observing details, making decisions, following directions.
- Knowledge and use of computer skills, including the Hotel system.
- Constant mental alertness.
Working Conditions:
- Inside a climate controlled environment.
- Carpeted and tile surfaces
- Some moderate noise and smoke.
- Working with others and sometimes alone.
- Confined work area.
