Optometric Technician-Will Train Job at Nittany Eye Associates
Nittany Eye Associates is seeking an energetic, passionate and driven full and part time Optometric Technician to join our team. The Optometric Technician assists the doctor with patient eye care by recording medical history, performing preliminary testing, and educating patients on various ocular conditions/medications. The Optometric Technician's primary focus is on our patients and ensuring they have an incredible experience during their visit. Nittany Eye Associates has an extremely high quality of care standard and as a result our Technicians are the best of the best within the industry.
Our Technicians work across all five of our offices in State College, Port Matilda, Tyrone, Spring Mills and Lock Haven. Technicians will rotate between one of our branch offices and our mail office in State College and should plan on working in State College 2-3 days a week. All on-site training included! Optometric Technician Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Passionate about patient care
- Detail Oriented and driven
- Eager to learn new things
- Basic medical terminology a plus, but not required
- High school diploma
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, web browsers)
- Familiarization with Electronic Medical Records preferred
