Position Description:
Perform optical fabricating processes including but not limited to: coring, sawing, curve generating, plano generating, beveling, blocking, grinding, polishing, testing, cleaning, assembly and other related and similar duties.
Perform simple set ups and operates optical equipment under direct supervision of an Optician I or above.
Read and understand drawings and process routings. Understand lean manufacturing principles and participate in lean activities as requested.
Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations. Understand and follow ISO procedures.
Computer literate Perform other similar and related duties as assigned. Specialized training will be determined by manpower requirements and aptitude.
