SUMMARY:
VLS Recovery Services is looking for a responsible Supervisor to oversee operations at our Piedmont facility in Mauldin, SC. Reporting to the site manager, this position will be responsible for effective management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures for the Operations Department. The ideal candidate will be a results-focused leader with progressively more challenging roles in Operations or related fields.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that the operation is managed in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with permit specifications and quality requirements
Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices
Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
Monitor water, oil, and solidification KPI’s for abnormalities. Plan and execute KPI variation countermeasures.
Recruit, train, supervise employees. Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
Plan, schedule, and review waste outlet availability and associated outbound transportation vendors to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
Oversee process workflow, employee and compliance requirements and facility needs as they occur.
Manage Waste to Energy streams, both outlet availability and transportation.
Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
Partner with Safety team to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations
Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure warehouse efficiency
