JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Cancer Center Director, the Operations Manager manages and supervises staff in assigned patient care areas according to the policies, philosophy, and objectives of the Olympic Medical Cancer Center to create a system of quality healthcare and to ensure that the operational needs of the department are met in order to provide high-quality care for patients. The manager projects an image of professionalism in communication, appearance, and conduct, and collaborates with departmental and organizational leadership to ensure the coordination of patient services and departmental functions.

This position works collaboratively with the cancer center leadership team to ensure efficient clinical operation and support, and ensures that the service line is providing optimal patient service. The manager communicates effectively to maximize morale and productivity, and coordinates with other relevant OMC departments to address facilities management, human resources, and any other department needs. The manager participates in strategic planning and development, and preparation of annual budget. This position monitors, provides statistical reporting, and implements changes necessary to comply with budget, and with government and oversight agency regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:


EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in a related area or 3 years oncology experience in lieu of degree, preferred.
Graduate of an AMA-approved school for therapeutic radiologic technology, preferred.

EXPERIENCE
Five years’ experience in a management/management support business role in the oncology field, preferred.
2 years Supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge of oncology billing practices, preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
