If you are an engineering or technical professional with knowledge of hardware and software for rotating equipment vibration monitoring, Emerson has a great opportunity for you! This role can be remotely located, with expected travel up to 50-60% to client sites within North America.

In this role, you will work as a service engineer, doing hardware configuration and testing at client sites, performing site acceptance testing and commissioning, as well as other field services activities.

As a Reliability Solutions Online Service Specialist , you will:

• Support projects and services by providing hardware and software integration and configuration activities using the Reliability Solutions portfolio of software products (AMS Machine Works, AMS Machinery Manager, AMS 6500 ATG, AMS Asset Monitor, etc.)
• Participate in client support activities, such as: surveillance visits, problem solving or support call resolution, system modifications and training
• Possess industry and technology competence and be familiar with business systems and plant or field operations environment.

Required education, experience & skills:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering plus 1-2 years of experience (or Technical Associates Degree and 5+ years of experience, or 10 years equivalent experience)
• Excellent networking skills, plus knowledge of LAN and WAN systems
• Excellent system troubleshooting skills
• Experience with vibration instrumentation
• Knowledge of rotating equipment and experience configuring monitoring systems
• Strong PC skills and knowledge of current operating systems
• Willing and able to travel for extended periods up to 60%
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred education, experience & skills:

• 10+ years proven experience in Rotating Equipment, Instrumentation, DCS, or Field Services

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $60,000.00 - $91,000.00 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
