ON-SITE MANAGER CAREER OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY in Cullman, AL. & vicinity

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide proactive on-site management:

o Monitor progress and attendance of contingent workforce and administer coaching as needed.

o Attend weekly staffing meetings with Client team to discuss current staffing needs, training progress of current employees, and identify areas for improvement.

o Facilitate communication with all managers and floor supervisors regarding current employees.

o Aid in forecasting departmental staffing needs.

o Monitor progress and attendance of contingent workforce and administers coaching as needed.

• Conduct standardized interviews according to client requirements.
• Administer job-specific skills testing.
• Provide new employee orientation, orienting employee specifically to client facility and standards.
• Provide plant tour, introduction to Client supervisor(s), and job demonstration.
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of all Client positions to ensure appropriate employee-to-job matches.
• Verify employee time sheets, process payroll, and distribute paychecks weekly.
• Perform accident investigations and work with Client Risk Management Team to manage workers' compensation claims. Provide recommendations for minimizing future incidents.
• Provide feedback and daily, monthly, weekly, and quarterly reports to Client and company management teams.
• Facilitate programs to minimize turnover.

Candidate requirements:

• Previous on-site management experience at a manufacturing facility with previous recruiting experience to source candidates to fill job openings quickly is a plus.
• Must have the ability to work long hours and possibly weekends, depending on the needs of the client.
• Must submit to criminal background questionnaire and pre-employment drug testing.
• Must be familiar with timekeeping system and processing payroll.
• Ability to walk up and down steps at the client location for meetings with managers and to check on contingent employees.
• Ability to maintain accurate reports with headcount and forge relationships with management at client location. Must provide reports daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly to management.
• Must be proactive to anticipate needs of client company by ensuring a pool of candidates are available to backfill positions.
• Must be comfortable providing coaching, disciplinary action, employment termination and all human resource function associated with contingent workforce management.

Other qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred not required.
• Must be able to perform in a fast paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
• Must have at least 2 years of previous experience in staffing, management or Human Resources.
