On-Call Mental Health Rehab Worker

As a Partner in Wellbeing, the Northwestern Apartments Rehab Worker under the direction of the mental health professional provide direct supportive services and emergency intervention when needed. Duties include education on mental health issues, completing crisis assessments, various screening tools, providing coping skills education and modelling, prompting and observing clients to meet their activities of daily living. Coordinate and communicate with relevant professionals related to the care and well-being of the client.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Respond immediately to emergency situations following established policies and procedures.
• Facilitate one to one and group interventions and educational lessons using materials provided by Mental Health Professional.
• Consult with a mental health professional on any psychiatric emergency and follow directions as given.
• Provide a supportive, recovery model and strengths-based perspective with all clients.
• Complete all client skill building and mental health interventions as assigned by the Mental Health Professional.
• Performs miscellaneous projects and completes various tasks as requested by management.
• Closely monitor activities through the facility.
• Conduct periodic room checks throughout the facility.
• Maintain safe access to medications for clients.

Required Education, Certification, Experiences

• Must be 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in MH field preferred
• Must pass criminal background check through MH DHS NetStudy.
• Access to personal vehicle and the ability and willingness to use the vehicle in carrying out positions responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable under the agency’s automobile insurance policy.
