About OPPA:
On Pitch Performing Arts is in the middle of our 7th Season of producing community theatre and providing performance education for all ages. Establishing value of children’s theatre education is one of our highest priorities and we truly believe that #theatrematters.

Job Summary:
OPPA! is seeking a dynamic team player that is ready to wear a few hats. Box office work including ticket sales, first point of contact for all walk ins and calls etc. Administrative work including communication with designers and directors for community theatre shows, Costume rental management, Education Department communications, and some light content creation in
Canva.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Box Office:

  • Answer phone calls and direct to correct department as needed.
  • Understand the programs and offerings of OPPA! to answer questions
  • Be the first point of contact for walk ins and phone calls
  • Provide general support for visitors
  • Sell tickets, cash handling as well as online sales
  • Maintain a clean and functioning box office
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

Administrative work:

  • Working with Executive Director maintain weekly contact with all community theatre show staff.
  • Ensure all designers and pro team members are meeting deadlines as needed.
  • Check Daily Reports to ensure that all tasks are being completed
  • Attend Monthly production meetings. Take notes as needed.
  • Maintain the costume rental management as set by our costume shop manager.
  • Working with the Education director help coordinate communication to staff and parents.
  • Ensure Education Department show staff are meeting deadlines as needed.
  • Create content for shows and education department on Canva.
  • Working with the Admin Coordinator assure building is clean, set and ready for all classes, events, etc.
  • Light Cleaning including Lobby, Box Office, Bathrooms etc.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • This position requires a multitasker who loves theatre, deadlines, and education. We are looking for a person that believes in our mission and sees the value of theatre in our community. This person will have excellent writing skills, organizational skills, a sense of humor, and desire to at times just chat over a cupcake with the rest of the staff.
  • This position requires someone with many talents, passion and a drive. Experience may be accepted in form of an appropriate degree, on the job expertise, or personal passion and interests.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
  • The ability to work alone or with a team.
  • The availability to work some nights and weekends as needed.
  • Proficiency with Excel and database programs like arts people and jack rabbit.
  • Familiarity with posting and communication methods on various social media platforms
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and workgroups including outside educational institutions and youth of all ages.

Salary & Schedule:
The Box Office And Administrative Assistant is an hourly position with 28 hours per week.
Starting Salary is $13 - 15 per hour depending on experience. Schedule will be Tuesday – Friday
10-6 with an hour lunch each day. Some evening/Saturday hours will be required.
