Occupational Health Nurse Full-time 1 st shift
This role provides nursing services in the occupational nursing practice that includes prevention, investigation, and treatment of workplace-related injuries and illnesses. Also, it ensures compliance and administration of areas in occupational health (FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, EMS, etc.) and internal policies and standards. As a key liaison with EHS and management you’ll provide services of an Occupational Health Nurse that includes but not limited to
- Process clinical records, medical leaves of absence and short-term medical absences
- Open, extend and close medical leaves and transitional work assignments
- Schedule and conduct medical examinations, physical examinations and fitness-for-duty
- Coordinate audiometric testing, immunizations, and wellness screenings
- Manage Worker’s Compensation
- Responsibility for Occupational Health for each Hydro-Gear manufacturing facility
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Minimum Associates Degree in nursing.
- Minimum 3 year’s nursing experience. Basic understanding of Occupational Health preferred.
- Experience in working autonomously with limited direct supervision
