Position Overview:
The NGV Inventory Planner role is part of the team that manages service parts inventories for new model launches, ensuring parts are ordered, shipped, and stocked in our distribution network when a new model launches. This position works closely with Product Support Managers to determine what specific parts are needed to support a new model launch. This person also works with Navistar Procurement to get parts on service contracts so purchase orders can be placed based on initial order quantities. This role also works very closely with our suppliers to ensure purchase orders are received and parts are shipped on time to be delivered to our distribution network prior to the new model launch. Navistar is currently seeking a
Next Generation Vehicle (NGV) Inventory Planner to join our New Model Launch team within our Aftersales Division!
The NGV Inventory Planner role is part of the team that manages service parts inventories for new model launches, ensuring parts are ordered, shipped, and stocked in our distribution network when a new model launches. This position works closely with Product Support Managers to determine what specific parts are needed to support a new model launch. This person also works with Navistar Procurement to get parts on service contracts so purchase orders can be placed based on initial order quantities. This role also works very closely with our suppliers to ensure purchase orders are received and parts are shipped on time to be delivered to our distribution network prior to the new model launch.
- Works closely with new product support managers to understand what parts need to be in-stock for new model launches, establishing project timeline and milestones for new product parts needs
- Works with procurement to ensure service parts are on contract as well as minimum order requirements
- Responsible for ensuring purchase orders are placed in time to have required parts inventory at Parts Distribution Centers (PDC) prior to launch
- Monitor flow of parts, follow up with suppliers on any issues with parts supply issues, shipping, quality, etc.
- At least 4 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
- Master’s degree

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
