The Network Engineer installs, configures, troubleshoots, and maintains business critical systems vital to daily operations. The Network Engineer must adhere to the company Service Level Agreement for both system uptime and customer response. This position reports to the Network Manager.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:

• Installation and configuration of network devices (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, WAN optimization, Wireless Access Points) for new and relocated McCarthy job sites and offices
• Installation and configuration of VOIP phone equipment for new and relocated McCarthy job sites and offices
• Installation and configuration of security platforms involving the wired and wireless network (end point security, Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems, VPN) of McCarthy
• Installation and configuration of VPN devices
• Maintenance of network and security devices to include upgrades, patching, user accounts and general administration
• Monitoring of network, VOIP and security device logs and real time statistics
• Coordination with outside vendors in support of network, VOIP and security equipment and private network circuits
• Installation and configuration of Unified Communications platforms
• Level 2 and 3 support for network devices and circuits, VOIP Phone System, Security Platforms and Unified Communications Platforms.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning, design, implementation and change management.
• Documentation of all areas of responsibility.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge of network protocols and technologies
• Experience managing Cisco VOIP platforms or equivalent vendor technologies
• 2 or 4 year technical degree in Network services or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of A/V Collaboration Technologies
• Experience managing Meraki product suite, Force10 Switches or equivalent vendor technologies

Additional Experience and Skills that are not required but would be beneficial:

• Familiarity with Zscaler or equivalent web proxy services
• Familiarity with Citrix Netscaler Appliance
• Network Related Certifications
• Experience managing AWS/Azure environments
• Experience managing Forescout CounterAct
• Experience managing MDM Solutions such as MaaS360, Intune, Meraki or similar
