JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

• Serves as landowner liaison when necessary
• Makes independent decisions within established parameters on how to best approach land and mineral owners and proceed with lease negotiations
• Conducts negotiations with mineral owners, attorneys and companies to acquire oil and gas leases, amendment curative, etc
• Works closely with administrative team to assist in document preparation
• Explains project to the land and mineral owners, including expectations, procedures, ownership breakdowns, timing and financial arrangements
• Pulls necessary title documents to support leasing operations
• Reviews and understand contract and other necessary documents related to transaction
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of one year experience in lease acquisition and/or mineral title examination;
• Ability to prioritize and organize work in order to satisfy project deadlines;
• Industry knowledge preferred;
• Possess a high level of professionalism and standard of ethics;
• Work outside of normal business hours and travel may be required;
• Close proximity to operating area preferred
• Active membership with AAPL, IRWA, and/or MLBC
