JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Director of the Student Support Center REPORTS TO: Principal Notre Dame Academy is accepting applications for the position of Director of Student Support Center, with duties to commence on July 1, 2023. More specifically, the Director oversees academic support, including tutoring, accessibility services, and enhancement of all academic skills in all disciplines. The Director will partner with faculty members to build capacity on the pedagogy and approaches to improve student learning and accessibility.

The director will be proactive to design Student Success Plans. He/she will work with the Admissions Director to review new student applications and serve as part of the Enrollment Committee for admissions decisions. This is a 12-month position. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: 1.

Oversee the design and delivery of up to date academic support services that fosters student learning and that is consistent with the mission of Notre Dame Academy. 2. Provide outreach, training, and resources for faculty members and staff regarding issues affecting student learning and accessibility. 3.

Coordinate academic support and advising with the Principal, Assistant Principal, andDepartment Heads; collaborate with the Principal or designee on the academic prep courses;and collaborate with the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management. 4. Serve as the Coordinator of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD). 5.

Provide training for academic tutors, including faculty, staff, volunteers, and student peer tutors. 6. Serve on the Principals Educational Leadership Team. 7.

Fulfill the obligations and duties as assigned by the Principal.8. Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Student Support Center through subject tutoring or study skill development, or work with at-risk students one on one or in small groups.9. Provide overall supervision of Student Support Center volunteers, faculty, staff, and studentsto include scheduling, delegating responsibilities, manage performance and development, and ensure staff remains up to date with training 10. Manage department budget.
