Hours/Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday
Contract/Salary Range/Benefits: 209 Days/Hourly – Non-Rep Salary Placement ($30.12 per hour - current school year rate), SEBB insurance, PFML, Washington DRS, paid days off, longivity pay
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college preferred, previous school experience preferred
- Experience in office operations, and customer service
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to perform multiple tasks with many interruptions and be positive, flexible and patient in trying situations
- Highly organized and efficient
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Applications; ability and willingness to learn new technology and operate a variety of software programs
- Proficient in oral and written communications
- Ability to follow directions, assume responsibility for duties, maintain confidentiality, and work independently
- Must have a proven record of punctuality, dependability, and consistent attendance
- Light to moderate work involving some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 35 pounds and occasionally more
- Ability to manage Absence Management and Skyward Programs
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional customer service to students, parents, staff, and administrators in all areas of communication. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally orally and in writing
- Engage in a positive, tactful, pleasant, and courteous manner at all times
- Complies with district board policies and procedures
- Inventories, orders and stocks supplies for building and staff
- Assist in purchases by creating purchase orders and reconciling monthly transactions
- Collects teacher inventories at end of year
- Perform general office duties including answering multi-line phones, greeting the public, typing, filing, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail and manage/operate equipment such as computers, typewriters, calculators, photocopiers, FAX, telephone and intercom systems, etc.
- Assist in compiling and reviewing time sheets for classified staff
- Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries
- Enroll and withdraw students from student management system and verify monthly enrollment reports
- Create and coordinate schedules for special projects including scheduling meetings, making room arrangements, field trip schedules, school newsletters etc
- Assist school nurse and follow and administer medical protocols for students and provide first aid to staff and students and maintaining an accurate log of distribution consistent with District policy(ies)
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure safety of students, staff and visitors
- Greet parents, students and staff in main office and direct as appropriate providing guest badges, bus passes, etc.
- Procure substitutes for absent staff members and tracking it in personnel management software
- Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required
- Comply with applicable District, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations
- Attend work regularly and on time
- Perform other job-related or building specific duties assigned by building administrator and/or Superintendent or his/her designee
