Mobile Unit Outreach Specialist Job at Stark County Health Department

The Mobile Unit Community Care Coordinator be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the Mobile Unit – for Drug Overdose Prevention efforts within Stark County – including driving and maintaining the mobile unit, as well as establishing community partnerships.
This position can be full time (35 hours per week) or Part time (up to 29 hours per week)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Diving to specified locations
- Performing routine maintenance including cleaning the unit
- Tracking inventory including stocking the mobile unit
- Distributing Naloxone, serving as a resource person to the community and tracking metrics
- Office work- Assist with community outreach by attending community meetings, meeting with agencies and treatment facilities
- Contacting businesses to establish locations for the mobile unit
- Communicating with clients; promoting the unit within the community
- Other tasks as requested or assigned by the Directors and/or Health Commissioner.
Minimum Education, Training and/or Experience Needs:
- High school diploma
- Experience working in substance use disorder or drug overdose prevention preferred
- Excellent communication skills/rapport with individuals in the target population (including persons with lived experience and/or persons with Substance Use Disorder) required.
- Highly organized and self-directed
