Millwright Mechanic Job at Cedar Grove
Cedar Grove Composting is currently seeking a reliable Journeyman Millwright to join our outstanding maintenance team. This position maintains a diverse range of machinery, including heavy equipment and processing machines. The Journeyman Millwright troubleshoots and maintains/repairs a variety of systems, including, electrical and hydraulic powered units.
Work schedule will be swing shift Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hour shifts, with some weekends required. Cedar Grove offers competitive wages, shift differential pay, tool allowance, benefits and paid vacations. This is a non-Union position. Millwrights must possess the required hand tools to perform the applicable job assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on belt lines, grinders, screen plants, off road equipment.
- Diagnose equipment problems and perform corrective repairs.
- Complete accurate work orders showing labor and materials used to perform each job.
- Remain current with industry standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of shop and work area.
- Personal and shop safety.
- Assist in other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Diverse mechanical aptitude including, assembly and preventative maintenance and heavy equipment repair.
- Fabrication and welding experience.
- Prefer 2-3 years of Millwright experience and/or attendance in a mechanical training program.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Computer skills a plus.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, stretch, and bend for a 10 hour day.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather for a short period of time.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces. (i.e. under/inside machinery) or in strenuous positions.
