Primary Job Function: Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
· Proficient in assigned welding techniques
· Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology
· Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials
· Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
· Conventional and precision measuring instruments
· Process inspection, certification, and documentation
· Welding equipment maintenance
· Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
· Safety and Housekeeping
· Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
Specific Experience: Six months of GMAW job and/or training experience
Formal Education: Graduation from an accredited High School or completion of GED program
Certifications: Must pass unlimited thickness test prior to employment offer. Visual acuity and blueprint reading test must be completed/passed within 30 days of date of hire.
Skills: Proficient in weld techniques, ability to use measuring devices, read blueprints, basic computer skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.75 per hour
