Seeking qualified candidates to join our Ice Rink Events Staff for 2022-2023 Christmas On The Plaza, located at the MGM Casino in Springfield MA. We are looking for energetic, reliable, team members with a positive and pleasant attitude. Experienced applicants are encouraged to apply for this fun and exciting promotional event designed to engage the community and guests during the holiday season! This is a seasonal position starting end of November through beginning of January.
Needed Immediately to January 2, 2023
RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties to include cashier, handing out and putting away ice skates, maintaining ice and skate changing area, plus:
- Monitoring rink safety, and eliminating hazards
- Interacting with customers to ensure customers are within safety compliance
- Assisting managers with maintenance & reporting duties
- Providing excellent customer service
- Reporting deficiencies to the managers
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED-equivalent required.
- Customer service experience is an asset
- You must be able to Ice Skate to be considered for this position
- Must be friendly and well groomed
- Willing and able to remain on your feet for extended period of time, and work in inclement weather
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Good communication skills, and comfortable working with the public
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Benefits:
- 4-8 hour shifts
- Weekend hours
This is a seasonal position starting end of November through beginning of January. Applicants must have the availability to work during the holidays, working up to 40 hours a week.
