Job Summary:

Serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Bassett Healthcare Network. This is a key role in the patient centered care team. Demonstrates excellence in all patient and customer encounters including face-to-face and telephone interactions. Assures that a high quality patient experience takes place by providing administrative support to ambulatory patient care teams through excellent customer service, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalent preferredAssociates degree or higher may be substituted for experience .Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience required.Licensure/Certificates:MOA Certification preferred, but not necessarySkills:Strong computer, customer service and communication skills required. Skills in medical terminology a plus. Ability to prioritize work. Must have the ability to handle confidential information and sensitive situations. Interpersonal skills to work with diverse people within and outside the organization.Successfully complete the competency requirements.Physical Requirements:Busy medical practice/clinic environment with frequent patient interaction. Extensive use of computers and telephonesMust be able to identify and differentiate colorsSitting for prolonged periods of time.
