Medical Collections Associate Job at DMC Primary Care
DMC Primary Care seeks a motivated and confident professional to join our patient collections team. Your primary responsibility will be to contact patients and collect missed and outstanding balances. We are looking for someone who is professional, trustworthy, and can work independently.
We will train the right person, however at least one year of office experience is required and some collections experience is a plus. The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills. Medical background a plus.
This entry-level, full-time position in Windham, NH is Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional evening hours. Please note, this is not a remote position.
Duties to include:
- Monitor patient accounts on a daily basis
- Identify outstanding accounts receivable
- Investigate historical data for debts and bills
- Take actions in order to encourage timely payment
- Process payments and refunds
- Contact patients to discuss outstanding balance and payment options
- Update account status records
- Coordinate reporting to collection agency/attorney
- Document all correspondence with patients
