WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Medical Biller will be responsible for all medical billing, coding, filing claims and resolving denials for 3rd party Commercial Insurance and Medicaid for outpatient and inpatient services.

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week and includes the following responsibilities:

• Checks billing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and conformity with clerical requirements.
• Highly dependable, organized and able to multi-task.
• Communicates with insurance companies regarding tracking authorizations.
• Sends out monthly patient statements.
• Discusses insurance and billing issues with patients, as needed.
• Billing experience in a medical office setting required.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Three or more years’ experience in medical billing
• Two or more years’ experience using an electronic health record, preferably Streamline

• Level 2 background screen and a negative drug screen
• Professional References
• Current valid driver’s license in the State of Florida
