3 positions available:

• Patient Care Coordinator/Float- This position requires a current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification (CCMA or CMA).
• MA I- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program required
• Ortho tech- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited program required, experience with casting, suture removal, wound care a plus

Tri- Valley Orthopedic Specialists, Inc is a full comprehensive, multi-specialty, state-of-the-art orthopedic practice providing high level services to the community in Pleasanton, San Ramon and Tracy with X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, Ortho Tech department, DME, Physical and Occupational Therapy on site. We are seeking candidates for a full time position. The ideal candidate will be a mature, reliable, professional, service-oriented team player who possesses a positive demeanor and can navigate high-volume, fast paced clinics for our physicians in a welcoming and supportive manner, must be reliable, have excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, enjoy multi-tasking and staying organized. Great attention to detail and clear communication with patients, management and staff are essential.

Prior experience in Orthopedics, Podiatry, Spine or surgical specialty is a plus. Experience with Worker’s Compensation a plus. Spanish speaking a plus. This position is responsible for assisting the physician with the daily functions of the clinics and multiple aspects of the Patient Care Coordinator role including but not limited to:

CCMA/CMA/Float/ MA 1

• Rooming patients
• Charting patient history of illness or injury and documenting meaningful use measures in Athena EHR
• Obtaining prior authorization for DME, injections, outside testing, physical therapy, and surgery
• Scheduling surgery
• Completion of disability forms
• Processing pharmacy callbacks according to strict physician protocols
• Responding to patient inquiries
• Scheduling patient appointments when necessary
• Assisting physician during clinic with patient orders, patient instructions, DME dispensing, and injection tray set ups.

Ortho Tech

• Casting applications/removal
• Suture Removals
• DME dispensing
• Injection tray set ups
• Supply stocking
• Room sterilization
• Wound care
• Misc post operative care

Requirements:

• As stated on each position above
• High school diploma, College preferred
• 2-3 years’ experience in the medical field (orthopedics or surgical specialty a plus, SPINE specialty a plus)
• Proficient in electronic medical records (Athena a plus)
• Computer savvy preferred
• Spanish speaking a plus
