Job Summary
The Medical Assistant is a member of the WATCH team who contributes to the program by performing specifically assigned nursing tasks and phlebotomy tasks. WATCH stands for Wayne Action Teams for Community Health. The mission of WATCH is to provide quality primary and acute health care to the uninsured of Wayne County, NC.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide II registry required or Medical Office Assistant degree required.
Licensure/
Certification
Registered or eligible for ASPT, ASCP, or NPA.
Experience
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a health care setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to provide excellent patient and customer care to all patients and their visitors.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.

Schedule: Full Time, Days
