Bear Mountain Healthcare is seeking a full-time Medicaid Specialist with Skilled Nursing Home experience who has knowledge of the Medicaid Application Process, to facilitate the filing and approval of Medicaid Applications for residents at three Skilled Nursing Facilities in the boston area.

Duties include:

• Work with facility admission coordinators/Case Managers to recognize potential need for Medicaid Applications (Long term, conversion, etc.)

• Knowledge of MassHealth products, policies and CMR guidelines relating to nursing home eligibility.

• Ability to work with people in a culturally diverse population, including staff, residents and family members.

• Knowledge of MMQ procedures, including but not limited to requesting MMQ estimates, admissions and conversions.

• Ability to multi-task, handling multiple applications at once.

• Highly organized, motivated and eager to resolve Medicaid issues as they arise.

• Maintain accurate Medicaid tracking records specific to each facility.

• Provide weekly status reports to regional manager.

• Participate in AR calls to discuss caseload.

• Maintain excellent communication with Facility Business Office, Admission Director, Social Worker and MMQ nurse for seamless process.

• May require offsite meetings with family to discuss application process and/or collect documentation to submit with application.

• Maintain complete electronic application files for each applicant including but not limited to. application documents, information requests, denial notices and appeals.

• Assist families with completion of application, securing necessary documents and submitting to MassHealth in a timely manner.

• Will need to rotate between facilities to meet with families and or patients to complete applications.

• Needs to represent patient/family if appeal is filed.

Requirements include:

• 3-5 years' experience with Medicaid Applications in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Candidate must be detailed oriented with excellent customer service skills.
