Community Strategies of Massachusetts (CSMA), a division of CRJ, supports adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities through specialized services from Day Programs, Shared Living arrangements with providers as well as over 40 community-based group homes.

Responsibilities:
The Meaningful Day Coordinators will be responsible for the implementation of meaningful day activities for all individuals living in their residential program which includes the following:
  • Facilitate the implementation of meaningful day activities in your program.
  • Ensure proper paperwork is available and completed.
  • Ensure that additional program paperwork is properly completed and followed.
  • Order necessary supplies for meaningful day activities.
  • Offer training to staff on meaningful day.
  • Focus on vocational development and procurement of jobs when possible.
  • Involve individuals in social/recreational activities.
  • Involve individuals in Functional Skill Development.
  • Implement Activities of Daily Livingdaily living activities, including Individual Service Plan Objectives and Behavior Plans.
  • Provides transportation for individuals with scheduled appointments or social activities.
  • Record progress notes, behavioral data and log notes for each individual residing in the program.
  • Tracks data and progress on all identified areas of need.
  • Ensures the safety of the individuals and general public.
  • Models socially acceptable behavior for individuals residing in the program.
  • Engages in the upkeep of the residence.
  • Ensures adequate program coverage and supervision at all time.
  • Ensures duties and responsibilities are carried out in a supportive and professional manner.
  • Attends Meaningful Day Coordinator meetings as directed.
  • Performs other job related projects and activities as requested or directed.
Qualifications:
  • First Aid, CPR, PAC, Participation in Medication Administration Program, Fire Safety, OSHA, Human Rights Training.
  • A background in Human Services is preferred along with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must pass a CORI, Federal, and drivers check
