Job Description:
About the Role:
The primary role of Sr. Master Scheduler is to oversee master scheduling and lead 1-2 finite schedulers for assigned categories.
- Maintains long term people, capacity plans and production schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service, and cost objectives.
- Generate weekly/monthly production and capacity plans using systems and processes that support the organization’s goals
- Maintain data integrity in systems to facilitate efficient inventory and capacity management, customer service, and operational metrics
- Lead Supply Review monthly category level SIOP/IBP process.
- Utilize systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues.
- Track and reconcile weekly/monthly metrics versus established targets. Review production performance and update planning rates to accurately reflect plant capabilities and available capacity.
- Maintain, review, and update all monthly inputs used to calculate safety stocks and inventory targets.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Business Units, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure cross-functional alignment and meet company objectives.
- Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
- Support Annual Operating Plan process for designated categories.
Important Details: This is a full-time role located out of our headquarters office in Oakbrook, IL. This role is hybrid with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
About You:
You’ll fit right in if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience in production planning or detailed scheduling required.
- Experience in leading others preferred
- Experience with supply planning software; working knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required. Advanced preferred.
- Intermediate PowerBI skillset preferred
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form.
- APICS or CPIM certification a plus
- Working knowledge of SIOP/IBP processes and procedures
