Master Journeyman HVAC Technician Job at Confidential
We are searching for an energetic and entrepreneurial minded Master HVAC Journeyman to install and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. As a Master Journeyman, you need to have completed an apprenticeship, passed the Journeyman exam, earned a license from the state of Wyoming, and have 8 years of experience. We also prefer that you have experience in a field like plumbing or other relevant field. In this role, your primary responsibilities will involve performing preventative maintenance, but you will also install duct, compression, and other HVAC systems. This is an in-house position with endless opportunities!
HVAC Journeyman Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair malfunctioning HVAC systems
- Inspect functioning systems for potential issues
- Install new HVAC systems
- Test and troubleshoot your installations after completion
- Test and examine boiler operations, observing meter and pressure gauges; conduct boiler water quality test and treatment; adjust boiler burner combustion.
- Lubricate and pack heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air-conditioning motors, pumps, fans, and other equipment.
- Install and calibrate systems; install copper tubing and repair pipes and tubing as necessary; test joints and insulate pipes of refrigeration and air conditioning systems; flush boilers, descale tubing; rebuild pressure and temperature safety valves and water pumps.
- Install, rebuild, replace or repair fans, motors, thermostats, fuses, filters, bearings, valves, controls, gaskets and other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain related records concerning time, labor and materials; maintain log of tasks performed and write reports as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Master HVAC Journeyman Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completed HVAC apprenticeship
- HVAC license
- 8 years of experience in HVAC
- Diesel boiler experience needed
- Plumbing experience helpful
