Walker Tape® is hiring a Marketing Specialist to join our team!

The Marketing Specialist will help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. The work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization's marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market.

Take Time Off

What are the Responsibilities?

• Work under the direction of management to assist in the development of strategic marketing plans and supporting tactics.
• Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data.
• Assist in communication with operational areas concerning the execution of the tactics and the progress toward the realization of marketing goals.
• Develop and foster strong working relationships with other departments.
• Plan, develop, execute, and measure campaigns and initiatives specific to the assigned projects.
• Analyze marketing and sales data to develop insights and make recommendations on areas for improvement.
• Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization and content development.
• Coordinate the production of marcom materials leveraging in-house marketing team and outside vendors as needed (photographers, video production companies etc.) to produce print and digital ads, brochures, flyers, direct mail, radio, video etc.
• Assist in the creation and distribution of monthly metrics for marketing initiatives to include reach, leads, opportunities, conversions, ROI metrics, and more.
• Oversee and further develop relationships with industry professionals.
• Responsible for providing up-to-date and compelling content for placement on company websites and social media channels. Will require coordinating with other departments and working closely with marketing team members and company connections.
• Work with other departments to design specials, promotions, trainings/events and company initiatives.
• Accountable for advertising including ad creation and placement as well as determining/adhering to ad schedule.
• Internally promote and share the activities and successes of marketing initiatives.
• Responsible for brand compliance including clear and consistent messaging along with proper logo usage.
• Assist with other various marketing endeavors as needed.

Do You Fit the Bill?

• Proficiency in analytics software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, CRM and CMS software and Adobe Creative Suite
• Attention to detail, leadership skills and ability to solve problems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Hands-on experience with web content management tools
• Experience with marketing campaigns

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
