The programming team works with executive leadership on DISH’s television programming strategy and manages ongoing business relationships with our programming content partners. They negotiate programming content acquisition deals in line with budget and overall strategy to advocate for our customers.

This position will be an integral part of the incremental average revenue per user (iARPU) team, which acquires content and drives revenue through marketing, merchandising and product enhancements.

The iARPU Team works with senior management on DISH’s programming and packaging strategy, communicates the value of our products to our customers, manages ongoing business with our partners, and negotiates content acquisition and renewal deals in line with budget and overall strategy. The Marketing and Revenue Specialist will be a key member of the Programming Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Marketing and communication strategy for programming add-on products that includes premiums such as HBOMax, Starz, and Showtime.
• Manage the marketing relationship with programming and other distribution partners; find joint opportunities to maximize revenue
• Execute promotional tactics including TV spots, online, social media, e-mail, direct mail, interactive etc to communicate upsell messages to subscribers
• Develop and analyze campaign metrics, including response rate, ROI, sentiment improvements, churn reduction, sales and overall customer satisfaction
• Conduct financial analysis to plan for deals and identify product enhancements
• Work cross functionally with various internal departments to identify and capitalize on new opportunities and maximize existing efforts
• Project Manager for special projects
• Monitor competitor activity and best practices to benchmark our progress and outline actionable next steps to ensure we are best in class

A successful Programming Specialist will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four (4)+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable communicating with upper management; highly focused on building and maintaining strong internal and external business relationships
• Sound analytical skills; both qualitative & quantitative and the ability to think creatively and independently, as well as collaboratively
• Proficiency with excel, basic photoshop skills
• Comfortable reading and understanding contract language
