Are you the right fit to be Valmet’s new Marine Sales Manager of Automation equipment?
We are seeking an experience Salesperson with knowledge of the Marine equipment and industry to bring Valmet’s Automation products to new and existing customers.
As a Marine Sales Manager, you will sell a variety of products and services that are unique offerings from Valmet. That will include DCS and DNA solutions, service contracts, and upgrades. Our customer base includes cruise lines and marine-based cargo companies in North America. In order to be close to our customers, this position will be based in South Florida, preferably Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
What You'll Need:
We are seeking candidates with two or four year degree from a technical college or university; additionally, 5+ years related experience in a Sales role, preferably within the Marine industry. Candidates should be familiar with Valmet’s DNA and Xdi systems as well as the Marine industry customer base, applications, and needs.
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Sell Service Products and DCS / DNA solutions to the marine cruise lines and marine based cargo companies based in NA. Mainly upgrading older systems and maintaining existing install base along with selling service contracts.
- Study and evaluate all marine accounts for potential service business and work hand-in-hand with Marine sales in Norway.
- Manage the service sales funnel and makes a monthly report about ongoing business activities as well as complete visit reports after each contact
- Develop, implement, and manage sales presentations to show the benefits of using Valmet DNA solutions.
- Work with internal proposal team members following procedures to create the technical specification and quotation.
- Present the technical specification and planning stages along with the quotation to the potential customer.
- Provide customer with continual service and maintain customer relationships utilizing all required Valmet resources.
- Close all sales directly by following through to get the Purchase Orders and if needed utilize other team members to close the sales cases.
- Perform other duties typical to this position.
