Due to recent growth, we have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician, in our Onaga facility. A successful candidate will be proactive in improvement projects, multitasking, and refocusing to meet constantly shifting demands in a fast-paced environment.
The Engineering Technician Responsibilities include:
- Operate all plant equipment used on the production floor including extrusion, material handling, and auxiliary equipment.
- Work closely with other operators to complete daily production schedule.
- Diagnose equipment failures, find root causes, and communicate required actions to the rest of the team.
- Become an expert on all machines in assigned areas.
- Perform minor equipment repairs and rebuilds.
- Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development, cost reduction and improvement.
- Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent repetitive breakdowns.
Requirements:
- Ability to learn relevant manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and electronics is preferred.
- Familiarity with process controls, HMI’s preferred.
Candidates must be dependable, flexible, and willing to work overtime if needed. This is a full-time position. A regular work week will be a 4-day work week; however, 5-day work weeks may be required 1-2 times per month, with overtime.
